Short Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi Arrival

Welcome to Nairobi. Our representatives will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and relax before your safari begins.

Overnight at The Sarova Stanley Hotel with breakfast.

Day 2

Nairobi – Shaba National Reserve

After breakfast, travel north past Thika through mountain streams, tea and coffee fields. Continue through Nanyuki and the foothills of Mount Kenya before reaching Shaba in time for lunch.

After lunch, enjoy your first game drive and return to the lodge as the sun sets.

Day 3

Shaba National Reserve

Begin the day with an early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Spend the morning at leisure before heading out again for an afternoon game drive after lunch.

Shaba is rich in wildlife, including lions, leopards, and herds of elephants.

Day 4

Shaba – Lake Nakuru

Leave Shaba after breakfast and travel south through Isiolo, Nanyuki, and Nyahururu towards the spectacular Lake Nakuru National Park.

After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive through the park, famous for birdlife including flamingos, as well as rhinos and endangered Rothschild giraffes.

Day 5

Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, travel towards Njoro and ascend the Mau Escarpment before continuing south to the Masai Mara. Pass through Kenya’s breadbasket, covered with wheat and barley fields.

Arrive in time for lunch, enjoy a short rest, then head out for an afternoon game drive.

Day 6

Masai Mara National Reserve

Spend the day enjoying morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara, famous for its diverse wildlife and big cat sightings.

Look out for the famous Big Nine: lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, hippo, and zebra.

Day 7

Masai Mara – Nairobi Departure

After breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and travel to Narok before crossing the vast plains of the Great Rift Valley. Continue up the rift escarpment and arrive in Nairobi around midday.

Once in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at the airport or Panari Hotel / Ole Sereni Hotel for your journey home.
